Device integration
Accurate and timely capture of infusion status data supports clinical workflow. Transcription errors and delays in data entry can result in incorrect treatment and possible patient harm.3
BD is excited to announce integration partnerships with number of Australian, New Zealand and globally based healthcare IT vendors that will enable seamless, automated documentation of infusion data from the BD Alaris™ neXus Infusion Pump platform into the Anaesthesia Information Management System (AIMS).
The project will replace the need for manual recording of infusion information currently associated with Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA), by integrating infusion data from the infusion pump directly into the AIMS in near real time.
This design enhancement supports the automatic creation of clinically accurate, detailed data into an electronic medical record, reducing duplicate entry, manual data entry errors and administrative recording which collectively enhances optimal patient care.
